Journalist’s resource Android Police, guided by a variety of leaks and rumors, the accuracy of which is estimated in the amount of 8 points out of 10, have created, as they claim, the first image of the new Google Pixel smartphone generation. More specifically, the image shows the larger model Google Pixel 2 XL.
Note that these images Google future innovations resource already drew before, and in the end it turned out that they are really as close as possible to reflect the design of future products. In other words, the resource is quite possible to be trusted.
As you can see, the design is very different from the current model of Google Pixel 2 XL and continuity can be seen only from behind – back panel here, as in the current Google Pixel, consists of two parts with a glass insert of a different color. But this time, the glass insert has a different design and smaller dimensions. Display in Google Pixel 2 XL takes up almost the entire front panel area, and the thickness of the frames is minimal. But in this case, the design of the front panel of the device is closer to the flagship smartphone LG G6 and Samsung S8, and not to the Essential Phone or Mi MIX. The display itself is a normal, not curved, but it looks like covered with protective glass with highly rounded edges. The source claims that the smartphone will receive a six-inch AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9, manufactured by LG.

There are news which suggests that Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL would not be differed only by display size but would have different design as well. Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL would have 4.9 inch and 5.9 inch display sizes respectively. Other major difference would be that only Pixel 2 would be water resistant smartphone.
